General Officer Biography

BRIGADIER GENERAL DAVID A. BEASLEY

 

Brigadier General David A. Beasley is the commander of the 175th Wing, Maryland Air National Guard, Baltimore, Maryland. He is responsible for two distinct flying units, an A-10A fighter squadron and a C-130 airlift squadron with personnel totaling approximately 1,692. 

General Beasley underwent primary U.S. Army pilot training at Fort Rucker, Ala. Upon graduation in May 1965, he was appointed as a Warrant Officer. He received his Air National Guard and U.S. Air Force Reserve commission as a second lieutenant through the direct commissioning program in December 1970. He is a command pilot with more than 8,500 flying hours including 711 combat hours.
