BRIGADIER GENERAL JAMES E. FLETCHER

 

ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR, ARMY NATIONAL GUARD FOR BOSNIA MOBILIZATION AND ROTATIONS

Brigadier General James E. Fletcher assumed the duties as the Assistant to the Director, Army National Guard for Bosnia Mobilization and Rotations in June 2004.

The General's military service began in June 1976, after graduating from United States Military Academy. He served as a Field Artillery officer on active duty with an extended tour in Germany at the battery level, then as a Test Conductor at White Sands Missile Range, NM. He joined the New Mexico Army National Guard in 1984 and has served as Commander, 2-200 Air Defense Artillery, Deputy Commander, and various Battalion, Brigade, and instructor staff positions culminating in the command of 111th Air Defense Artillery Brigade for over 4 years. General Fletcher was recently activated from March 2003 to Feb 2004 and served as the Deputy Area Air Defense Commander (DAADC) for the Continental North American Aerospace Defense Command Region (CONR) to include the National Capitol Region Integrated Air Defense (NCR-IAD).
