MAJOR GENERAL GEORGE T. LYNN

 

Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, Air Education Training Command

Major General George T. Lynn serves as the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, Air Education Training Command. He is responsible for advising the commander and the staff on all issues impacting the Air National Guard. He ensures requirements to support the Air National Guard are included in planning, programming and execution phases of the Air Education Training Command mission elements. General is responsible for coordination of Air National Guard issues through the Director of the Air National Guard.

General Lynn was commissioned in 1970 through Officer Training School. General Lynn attended the University of Kentucky and Murray State University, graduating in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. Following his training as a Navigator and Electronic Warfare Officer, he served for many years as an instructor. His previous commands include an aircraft maintenance squadron, two logistics groups, the 116th Bomb Wing, and after his unit's conversion to the E-8C Joint Surveillance and Target Attack Radar System, he was named Commander, 116th Air Control Wing. He served as Air National Guard Director of Logistics, National Guard Bureau, Washington, District of Columbia and the Air National Guard Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Installations and Mission Support, Headquarters United States Air Force, Washington, District of Columbia.
