Major General Ronald S. Stokes serves as Commander of the 167th Theater Support Command, in Birmingham.
Major General Stokes began his military career in March 1969, after completing ROTC. He completed the Officer Field Artillery Basic Course and Officer Rotary Wing Aviation Course. He served tours with aviation units in Vietnam and at Fort Benning, Georgia before leaving active duty in October 1973. He joined the Alabama Army National Guard in December 1973 and has served in a variety of assignments. These have included maintenance company commander, military police battalion commander, support group commander, chief of staff and deputy commander. He was assigned to his present position in October 2000.
