The
Adjutant General, Guam
Major General Benny M. Paulino assumed duties as The Adjutant General, Guam National Guard on 3 January 2011, his second assignment to this position after serving as The Adjutant General from 1996 -2002. As the Adjutant General, he is the principal advisor to the Governor of Guam on all military matters, and is responsible for the training, readiness, management and combat effectiveness of approximately 1,700 members of the Guam Army and Air National Guard, and civilians of the Department of Military Affairs.
General Paulino's active military service began in 1970. He was commissioned as a signal officer following Officer Candidate School. Subsequent to commissioning, General Paulino served as Deputy Commander, 2nd Signal Brigade, Mannheim, Germany, and in multiple capacities as Deputy Chief, Plans and Programs Division, Combined Forces Command; Chief, Plans and Programs Division, United States Forces Korea; and Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff, Information Management, Eight United States Army, Republic of Korea.
