BRIGADIER GENERAL STANLEY J. GORDON

Utah Army National Guard

Brigadier General Stanley J. Gordon assumed the duties as the Assistant Adjutant General, Utah Army National Guard, on 26 July 2000. As the Assistant Adjutant General, he is responsible to direct, manage, and control all aspects of the Utah Army National Guard units. The General's military service began in June 1967, after completing ROTC at the University of Utah. He served as a field artillery officer on active duty with a tour in Vietnam, as a Gunnery Instructor at Fort Sill, and a tour in Germany. He joined the Utah Army National Guard in 1978 and has served as Commander, 1st Corps Artillery; Commander, 1st Battalion, 140th Field Artillery; FIREX 88 Project Officer; Director of Plans, Operations, Training and Military Support; and Director of Information Management.
