BRIGADIER GENERAL LEROY S. LEGOWIK

lsl.jpg (43761 bytes)Brigadier General Lee S. Legowik assumed duties as the Assistant Adjutant General, Army, State of Washington, Camp Murray, Tacoma, WA, on January 1, 1996. As the Assistant Adjutant General, Army, he is responsible for assisting the adjutant general in deployment and coordination of programs, policies, and plans affecting over 5,500 members of the Washington Army National Guard.

The General's military career began in November 1965 when he enlisted in the US Navy. He received his commission in the US Army in September 1968, and served four years which included tours with the 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC. Prior to his current assignment, Brigadier General Legowik served as the Commander, 81st Infantry Brigade (Mechanized).
