MAJOR GENERAL STANLEY M. HENG

Major General Stanley M. Heng was appointed Adjutant General, Nebraska National Guard, 1 June 1987. He is responsible for directing all aspects of the Army and Air National Guard in addition to serving as the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency director.

General Heng served in the active Army January 23,1956 until November 1957. He joined the Nebraska National Guard in March 1958 serving in the enlisted ranks until earning his commission from the Nebraska National Guard Military Academy in May 1964. Prior to his appointment as Adjutant General, he served as Commandant of the Nebraska National Guard Military Academy where he directed the training of officer candidates.

CIVILIAN OCCUPATION:

As a civilian, General Heng has been employed by the Nebraska National Guard and the Military Department of Nebraska since June 1960. He served in various capacities including: administrative supply technician, staff training assistant, department adjutant and secretary to the general staff, prior to his appointment as Adjutant General.
