BRIGADIER GENERAL DANNY B. CALLAHAN

Deputy Commander, State Area Command 

Brigadier General Danny B. Callahan assumed duties as the Deputy Commander for Headquarters (-) State Area Command in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 1, 2000. As, Deputy Commander, his responsible for advising and assisting the Adjutant General in the administration of the Army National Guard Forces within the state.

Brigadier General Callahan began his career as an enlisted soldier on December 1, 1963. He went on to attend Indiana Military Academy and was commissioned in the Indiana Army National Guard, as a Second Lieutenant on July 10, 1966 for the Indiana Army National Guard. Prior to his current assignment, Brigadier General Callahan served as the Brigade Commander for the 76th Brigade, and most recently was the Assistant Division Commander Training, 38th Infantry Division.
