MAJOR GENERAL WILLIE A. ALEXANDER

General Alexander began his military career in 1959, serving first as a Military Policeman at Fort Bragg, N.C. and later in Germany and Korea. After completing the Field Artillery OCS at Fort Sill, Oklahoma in 1966 he was then assigned to Fort McClellan, Alabama where he served as Training Officer and finally as Commander of the Leadership School.

In October 1972, he joined the Alabama Army National Guard serving in a number of positions until June 1995 when he was promoted to Brigadier General and assigned as Assistant Adjutant General for Army, Alabama National Guard. He was appointed as Adjutant General of Alabama on 18 January 1999.
