Major
General John “Jack” W. Clark is the Air National Guard assistant
to the judge advocate general, United States Air Force, Pentagon, Washington,
District of Columbia. He serves as the principal advisor on Air National Guard
legal services matters to the judge advocate general. His responsibilities
include
training oversight and operational readiness of more than 260 Air National
Guard attorneys and more than 160 Air National Guard paralegals, and as chair
of the
judge advocate general's Air National Guard council, coordinating policies
and programs for Air National Guard judge advocates and paralegals with the
judge
advocate general and the director, Air National Guard.
The general was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) upon graduation from Rutgers College, New Brunswick, N.J., in May 1973 where he was the recipient of a U.S. Air Force scholarship. He received a full academic scholarship to Wake Forest Law School and was designated as a judge advocate following graduation from law school and admission to the bar of the State of New York in April 1977. He has served in judge advocate positions in the Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and in wing and headquarters positions in the Air National Guard.
