BRIGADIER GENERAL THOMAS C. LAWING

 

Assistant Adjutant General - Army, North Carolina Army National Guard

Brigadier General Thomas C. Lawing assumed his duties as Assistant Adjutant General - Army, North Carolina Army National Guard on 1 December 2006. In this capacity, he is Second in Command for the North Carolina National Guard. He assists the Adjutant General in developing the vision for the North Carolina National Guard and in implementing programs to meet, maintain, and exceed established goals and required readiness levels.

Brigadier General Lawing received his commission from the US Military Academy and earned his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1978. His most recent military assignments include JTF Commander, JFHQ, North Carolina; Commander, 30th Engineer Brigade (TA); and Commander, 105th Engineer Group.
