BRIGADIER GENERAL JASON L. HAWK
Brig. Gen. Jason Hawk is the Deputy Director, Capability Development, Air Force Futures, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. In this position, General Hawk assists the Director in establishing capability development policy and providing guidance and direction to 220 military, civilian and contractor personnel who represent the warfighter in the Air Force Corporate Process. The Directorate is the service's center of expertise on Capability Development and Joint Integration comprised of 23 teams covering the entire range of Air Force programs, including next-generation weapons and sensors, autonomous platforms, command and control, space and cyber systems, base defense and mobility. The Directorate also oversees the Air Force's Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System processes and advocates for service positions at the Joint Requirements Oversight Council.
General Hawk commissioned in 1998 and was a Distinguished Graduate from MMI and Florida State University’s Army ROTC program. He is an Honor Graduate of the US Army flight school, served four-years as an AH-64 Apache pilot and deployed to the Balkans with an Aviation Task Force in support of Operation JOINT FORGE, NATO Forces. General Hawk completed his inter-service transfer in 2005. He served in contingency support to Operation NOBLE EAGLE and deployed in support of USINDOPACOM Theater Security Package requirements. He was a WEPTAC chair, led JROC initiatives and earned distinction as an F-16 pilot at the Air Force level. He is a command pilot with over 1,700 hours in Fighter and Attack aircraft. Prior to his current position, he served as commander, 113th Maintenance Group.
