Assistant
to Command Staff Judge Advocate, Air Mobility Command
Brigadier General Jeffrey S. Lawson is the Air National Guard Assistant to the Command Staff Judge Advocate, Air Mobility Command. In this position, he is the principal adviser and liaison to the Command Staff Judge Advocate, Air Mobility Command on Air National Guard legal matters within and affecting Air Mobility Command. He provides professional direction and policy oversight to the 38 Air Mobility Command gained Air National Guard legal offices within the Command and the Wing Legal Office gained by Air Force Special Operations Command. In addition, he serves as a senior representative on the Air National Guard Judge Advocate General's Council, providing leadership, strategic planning and management to the entire Air National Guard Judge Advocate General Program.
General Lawson was commissioned by direct appointment into the United States Air Force Judge Advocate Corps in 1982. Prior to receiving his commission, General Lawson served as an enlisted member of the United States Air Force as a Ground Radio Maintenance Technician.
