BRIGADIER GENERAL KENNETH LOZANO
Brig. Gen. Kenneth Lozano is Vice Director, Office of the National Guard Bureau (NGB) Comptroller at the NGB Joint Staff, Temple Army National Guard Readiness Center, Arlington Va. He assists the Director, Office of the NGB Comptroller and Chief, NGB with the administration and obligation of the National Guard’s $32B annual budget allocated to the 54 states, territories and the District of Columbia. Additionally, Brig. Gen. Lozano is responsible, on behalf of the Vice Chief, NGB with the supervision of the U.S. Property and Fiscal program and management of the 54 U.S. Property and Fiscal Officers, pecuniary liable for all Federal property and funding in possession of the State National Guard.
Brig. Gen. Lozano attended the University of Puerto Rico and commissioned through Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1996. After serving on active duty for eight years, he joined the Puerto Rico National Guard in 2004. He earned a Defense Financial Management Level III certification and served in financial management disciplines at the squadron, wing, Numbered Air Force and NGB Staff. He has deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Operation SOUTHERN WATCH and Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, serving as Deputy Disbursing Agent and Paying Agent. General Lozano has held squadron and group-level commands. Prior to assuming his current position, the general was the NGB Provost Marshal and Chief, Protection Division, NGB Joint Staff, Arlington, Va.
