BRIGADIER GENERAL TYLER D. BUCKLEY

Brig. Gen. Tyler D. Buckley is the Special Assistant to the General Counsel, National Bureau ‐ Air. In that capacity, Brig. Gen. Buckley serves as the senior ANG officer in the Office of the General Counsel, National Guard Bureau (NGB‐GC) and is responsible for supporting the General Counsel in management of NGB‐GC, and the provision of legal services to the Chief of the National Guard Bureau, the Director of the Air National Guard, the Director of the Army National Guard, and their staff.

Brig. Gen. Buckley received his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) at the University of Kentucky in 2000 and spent eight years on active duty as a Judge Advocate following completion of the USAF Education Delay Program at the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2003. Before separating from active duty in 2012 and joining the Kentucky Air National Guard, Brig Gen Buckley served in the Labor Law Field Support Center (LLFSC) and the Commercial Litigation Directorate of the Air Force Legal Operations Agency (AFLOA), and as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate where he held positions as Chief of Military Justice, Chief of Adverse Actions, Chief Claims Officer, and Chief of Legal Assistance and Preventative Law.

While serving in the National Guard Bureau Statutory Tour Program, Brig. Gen. Buckley held positions as the NGB‐GC Air National Guard Directorate Judge Advocate, the Program Manager for the National Guard Special Victims' Counsel Program (NGB‐SVC), a Litigation Attorney in the NGB‐GC Litigation and Employment Law Division, the Assistant Counsel to the Air National Guard Readiness Center (ANGRC) and 201st Mission Support Squadron (201st MSS). Prior to his current position, Brig. Gen. Buckley was the NGB‐GC Law Office Management, Director.
