BRIGADIER GENERAL JOSHLIN D. LEWIS
Brig. Gen. Josh Lewis is the Chief of Staff, Headquarters Texas Air National Guard, Camp Mabry, Texas. He is responsible for developing strategy and synchronizing the efforts of over 3,000 Texas Airmen at three operational wings in support of the Deputy Adjutant General-Air of Texas.
Brig. Gen. Lewis was commissioned in 1999 as a graduate of Officer Training School at Maxwell Air Force Base after graduating from Lamar University. After serving eight years on active duty at multiple locations, he transferred to the Texas Air National Guard in 2007. He has held operational, support, and staff positions at the squadron, group, wing, NAF and major command levels, and deployed in support of Operations NOBLE EAGLE and ENDURING FREEDOM. A career cyber operations officer, he was integral to the formation of the Air Force’s enterprise network defense efforts at both 8th Air Force and 24th Air Force. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the deputy commander of 136th Airlift Wing at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth.
