BRIGADIER GENERAL PATRICK L. LANAGHAN
Colonel Patrick L. Lanaghan serves as the Director of Staff – Air for the Missouri Air National Guard (MOANG), and as the Chief, Commander’s Action Group (CAG), Missouri National Guard (MONG), Jefferson City, Missouri. Colonel Lanaghan is the senior fulltime Air advisor to the Adjutant General and works on behalf of the Assistant Adjutant General-Air and the MOANG Chief of Staff to coordinate and communicate with the 131st Bomb Wing and the 139th Airlift Wing. Additionally, as the MONG CAG Chief, Col Lanaghan actively manages relationships, correspondence and interactions with TAG’s key constituents and develops and manages special projects and future planning.
Colonel Lanaghan received a direct commission into the Medical Service Corps in March 1998. Prior to his current position, Colonel Lanaghan served as the 125th Medical Group Commander, Jacksonville Florida. In this role he transformed the Group into one of the highest performing Medical Groups in the ANG. He also assumed key leadership roles during the Florida National Guards response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He served as the Commander, Joint Task Force Aid and established the first-of-its-kind four hundred and fifty bed coronavirus field hospital at the Miami Beach Convention Center. He also oversaw the conversion of the field hospital to the state’s first Coronavirus Hybrid Testing Site, working seamlessly with military, government, and private agencies to facilitate 52,000 coronavirus tests to the citizens of Florida. Colonel Lanaghan is a veteran of Operation DESERT STORM and IRAQI FREEDOM.
