BRIGADIER GENERAL BRIAN D. KILE

Brig. Gen. Brian D. Kile serves as the Assistant Adjutant General, Alaska Air National Guard. He is responsible for the recruiting, retention, training, and equipping of over 2,400 Alaskan citizen airmen in two flying wings. He provides strategic airlift, search and rescue, aerial refueling, air defense, and space warning and surveillance capabilities in support of state and federal missions worldwide. General Kile ensures the Alaska Air National Guard maintains a constant watch and commitment to Pacific Air Forces, Air Combat Command, United States Northern Command, United States Transportation Command, Alaska North American Aerospace Defense Command Region, and Air Force Space Command.

General Kile entered the United States Air Force in 1990 as a Loadmaster. He was selected for the Undergraduate Pilot Training Program in 1997, marking his transition into the officer corps. General Kile has served in numerous leadership positions to include squadron command, group command, a Standardization and Evaluation Pilot, the 11th Air Force Rescue Coordination Center Deputy Director, and the Director of Operations/J3, Joint Staff. Prior to his current position, General Kile served as the Director of Staff JFHQ-Air at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson, Alaska.
