BRIGADIER GENERAL VICTOR R. MACIAS
Brig. Gen. Victor R. Macias serves as the Deputy Commander, Cyber National Mission Force, United States Cyber Command, Fort Meade, Maryland. General Macias previously served as Commander, 175th Cyberspace Operations Group, the National Guard’s only full spectrum Cyber Operations Group executing both offensive and defensive missions globally on behalf of The United States Air Force and U.S. Cyber Command.
General Macias received his commission from The United States Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD. General Macias proudly served during multiple six month deployments while embarked aboard USS JOHN C. STENNIS and USS DWIGHT D.EISENHOWER flying missions over Iraq and enforcing the no-fly zone in OPERATION SOUTHERN WATCH. He accumulated in excess of 1,200 F-14 flying hours and 350+ day/night carrier landings. He has certified as a Mission Commander in both Aviation Strike/Fighter and Cyberspace Operations as well as holds qualification as a United States Northern Command Joint Task Force Commander.
General Macias separated from the U.S. Navy and transitioned to the civilian sector for six years, first with a Fortune 100 financial firm then as Director, Legislative Affairs, Headquarters, Maryland National Guard. General Macias rejoined active service with the National Guard in July 2008.
