BRIGADIER GENERAL CARLA D. RINER
Brig. Gen. Carla D. Riner presently serves as the Chief of Staff of the Delaware Air National Guard, Delaware Joint Forces Headquarters, New Castle, Delaware. In this capacity she is charged with the strategic direction of the state’s mission sets. Additionally, she serves as the Air National Guard Advisor to the Director of the Air and Cyberspace Operations, Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, General Riner was commissioned at the Academy of Military Science. She served in multiple worldwide combat and contingency operations to include Operations ENDURING and IRAQI FREEDOM as a C-130 pilot. Prior to her current position, she was the Commander, 166th Airlift Wing, Delaware Air National Guard, New Castle, Delaware. General Riner has commanded at the flight, squadron, group, and wing levels, and is a senior pilot with more than 2,900 hours.
