CIVILIAN OCCUPATION
Serves as the second-in-command of the California National Guard and is the principal advisor to The Adjutant General. Responsible for assisting The Adjutant General in the development, coordination, and implementation of programs, policies, and plans for the 23,000 Soldiers, Airmen, and Families of the California Military Department; California Army and Air National Guard; and California State Military Reserve. Assists the Adjutant General in providing trained, equipped, and mission ready Army and Air National Guard forces in support of federal mobilization requirements and domestic civil support operations.
