MAJOR GENERAL BRYAN E. SALMON

Maj. Gen., Bryan E. Salmon is the Special Assistant to the Director of the Air National Guard, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. In this capacity, he assists the Director in formulating, planning, developing, and coordinating policies and programs affecting 108,400 Air National Guard Airmen and civilians across 90 wings and 190 installations in 159 communities throughout the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands.

General Salmon was commissioned in 1994 upon graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He has served as a Commander of the 192d Operations Group, Director of Air National Guard ACC Forces (CG), as well as the ANG Special Access Program Management Officer (SAPMO), located at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. General Salmon has been the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander at both 15th AF, Shaw AFB, S.C., and First AF, DCFACC, Tyndall Air Force Base.

General Salmon is a command pilot with more than 2,600 flying hours, including more than 220 hours leading combat missions in Operations Southern Watch and Northern Watch. In his civilian capacity, he is a pilot with a major transport company. Prior to his current position, the general was the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander 1AF Air Force, DCFACC, Tyndall AFB, Florida.
