MAJOR GENERAL DANIEL D. BOYACK

Maj. Gen. Daniel D. Boyack serves as the 21st Adjutant General for the state of Utah. As the commander, Maj. Gen. Boyack serves as the chief military advisor to the governor of Utah. He is also the Air National Guard Representative on the Secretary of Defense’s Reserve Forces Policy Board, the Secretary of the Air Force’s Air Reserve Forces Policy Committee and on the Director of the Air National Guard’s Director’s Advisory Council. He is responsible for ensuring more than 7,000 soldiers, airmen, and civilian employees are ready and equipped to rapidly respond to state and homeland emergencies and prepared to mobilize in support of the Army and Air Force.

General Boyack began his career with the Utah Air National Guard in 1994. He was commissioned through the Air National Guard’s Academy of Military Science in 2000. He graduated in 2001 from Joint Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training, where he was selected as the Distinguished Graduate and awarded the Commanders Trophy.

General Boyack is a veteran of several military operations including: ALLIED FORCE, JOINT GUARDIAN, NORTHERN WATCH, NOBLE EAGLE, JOINT FORGE, ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and INHERENT RESOLVE. He serves as a Pilot for a major airline. Prior to his current position, he served as the Assistant Adjutant General of the Utah Air National Guard.
