BRIGADIER GENERAL MARLON E. CROOK

 
Official Photo Brig. Gen. Marlon E. Crook, Sr. is the Director of Intelligence & Cyber Effects Operations, National Guard Bureau A2/6 JB Andrews, MD. As the Director, he oversees a portfolio to include intelligence, cyber forces, and systems architecture, to include fixed-base and expeditionary information networks and security supporting and enabling over 108,100 military and civilian personnel assigned to 90 wings and 175 geographically separated units throughout the 50 States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the Virgin Islands. Gen Crook is also responsible for governance, policy implementation, and execution as the ANG Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO).

General Crook earned his commission in 1993 through the University of Notre Dame Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program. Gen Crook commanded at the squadron and group level. He has significant leadership experience in a variety of Operational, Air Staff, Command, and key Joint Staff assignments.

Prior to his current assignment, he was the Principal Deputy Director of NGB A2/3/6/10 Operations. He has also served as Director of the Office of the National Guard Bureau Human Resources responsible for the human capital management of over 3,770 Federal Civil Service employees, Army National Guard Title 10 Active Guard Reserve, and Air National Guard Statutory Tour personnel, and as Principal Advisor to the Vice Chief of the National Guard Bureau on matters relating to human resources support, sustainment, and manpower management. Brigadier General Crook’s last command tour was as the Mission Support Group Commander, 105th Air Wing, New York Air National Guard.
