MAJOR GENERAL BRADFORD R. “FRANCIS” EVERMAN
Maj. Gen. Bradford R. Everman serves as the Special Assistant to the Combatant Commander, North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), for Reserve Matters, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado, where he advises on all policies and programs relating to the Reserve Forces. He assists the Commander to organize, equip, and operate air defense forces for North America, including the three distinct mission sets: Aerospace Warning, Aerospace Control, and Maritime Warning. He also assists the Commander to deter, detect, deny and if required, defeat threats to the United States while providing support to civil authorities. Additionally, he serves as a NORAD and USNORTHCOM Assessor/Authority, executing delegated duties assigned by the Commander of NORAD and USNORTHCOM, in response to homeland activities.
General Everman commissioned through the U.S. Air Force Academy in May of 1991. He served operational tours in the Republic of Korea and at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho, as well as a staff tour at Air Combat Command Headquarters. In 2001, he transferred to active service in the Air National Guard, commanding at the Squadron, Group and Wing levels. He attended the US Air Force Weapons School and is a Command Pilot with more than 3,000 flight hours in the F-16. He served eight tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan in support of Operations NORTHERN WATCH, SOUTHERN WATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM, including two tours as a Squadron Commander. Prior to assuming his position, he was dual-hatted as the Assistant Adjutant General for Air in New Jersey while also serving as the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, Continental United States NORAD Region and First Air Force (AFNORTH & AFSPACE).
