BRIGADIER GENERAL KIMBRA L. STERR

Brig. Gen. Kimbra L. Sterr is the Director of Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection, National Guard Bureau, Air National Guard Readiness Center, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. She leads over 300 military and civilian professionals across eight divisions that support 90 Air National Guard Wings and 188 Geographically Separated Units across the United States and territories. Brig. Gen. Sterr manages a $4.5 billion dollar budget, providing strategy, policy, and oversight that supports deployment readiness, maintenance, logistics, military construction, engineering, environmental and force protection across the entire Air National Guard.

Brig. Gen. Sterr has commanded at the flight, squadron, and group levels. She previously served as the Missouri Air National Guard Assistant Adjutant General advising the Adjutant General on all matters pertaining to the Missouri Air National Guard’s nearly 2,300 Airmen serving in two wings at three locations and staff personnel at Joint Force Headquarters. Additionally, Brig. Gen. Sterr served in a dual-hat role as the Air National Guard Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection, Headquarters Air Force, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. She supported the Deputy Chief of Staff with leadership, management and integration of Air Force logistics, readiness, aircraft and missile maintenance, civil and security forces, as well as setting policy and preparing budget estimates that reflect enhancements to productivity, combat readiness and quality of life for Airmen. Prior to her current position, the Brig. Gen. was the Assistant Adjutant General, Missouri Air National Guard, Jefferson City, Mo.
