BRIGADIER GENERAL TAFT O. AUJERO

 
Official Photo Brig. Gen. Taft O. Aujero was the Assistant Adjutant General for the California Air National Guard. He monitored mission effectiveness and wide range of programs and activities involving five major field-level organizations comprised of nearly 5,000 military and civilian personnel serving at 10 locations within California. In this capacity, General Aujero served as one of the senior Air National Guard officers responsible for providing trained, equipped and mission ready forces to support national defense requirements world-wide and emergency response, relief, and recovery operations throughout California.

General Aujero was commissioned through the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado in 1992. He has held various assignments and duties in HH-60G squadrons in the United States, Kuwait, Turkey, Iraq and Afghanistan. His command and staff assignments include Vice Wing Commander, 322nd Air Expeditionary Wing, Al Jaber, Kuwait and Director, Joint Personnel Recovery Center, Al Udeid AB, Qatar. He was a command pilot with over 2,900 hours of flight time in the T-37, UH-1H, HH-60G Pave Hawk, MC-130P Combat Shadow, and HC-130J Combat King II. Prior to current position, the General was the Wing Commander, 129th Rescue Wing, Moffett Air National Guard Base, California.
