Brig. Gen. Steven S. Lambrecht is the Chief of Staff and Air Component Commander, Joint Forces Headquarters, Colchester, Vermont. His responsibilities include the operational effectiveness, professional development, readiness, training, utilization, health, morale, and welfare of over 1,100 Airmen in the 158th Fighter Wing, 229th Cyber Operations Squadron, and the JFHQ Air Staff. The 158th Fighter Wing is home to the Air National Guard’s first F-35 Air Wing.
General Lambrecht received his United States Marine Corps commission in 1989 from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He is a graduate of both the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps Weapons Schools. General Lambrecht deployed twice to Central Command in Support of Operations DELIBERATE FORCE and JOINT ENDEAVOR. He served as an Alert Pilot in support of Operation NOBLE EAGLE, Assistant Weapons Officer, Chief of Standardization and Evaluation, Fighter Enhancement Program Manager, Director of Operations and as a Squadron and Group Commander. He deployed twice to Balad Air Base, Iraq in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, amassing 100 combat missions throughout his career.
