Colonel Scott C. Bridgers
Colonel Scott C. Bridgers is Commander, 169th Maintenance Group, 169th Fighter Wing, South Carolina Air National Guard, McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C. He is responsible for maintaining 26 F-16CM Fighting Falcon aircraft for the largest operational F-16 wing in the Air National Guard. He provides leadership and direction for more than 700 military personnel, including 625 Air National Guard and 75 Active Duty Airmen assigned to the wing in an Active Associate construct.
Colonel Bridgers earned his commission in 1991 from the Reserve Officer Training Corps at East Carolina University and graduated from undergraduate pilot training at Williams Air Force Base, Ariz. in 1991. He is a command pilot with more than 4,900 hours logged during assignments with Air Education Training Command, Pacific Air Forces, Air Combat Command and the Air National Guard. Colonel Bridgers has flown 201 combat sorties, amassing 873 combat hours in Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, ENDURING FREEDOM, NORTHERN WATCH, SOUTHERN WATCH, VIGILANT WARRIOR, and DESERT FOX. Prior to his current position, Colonel Bridgers was the Commander of the 169th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, South Carolina Air National Guard, McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C.
