MAJOR GENERAL PETER G. BAILEY

Maj Gen. Peter G. Bailey is the Deputy Director for Joint Force Development Joint Staff J-7, Suffolk VA. Maj Gen. Bailey serves as the principle assistant to the Director for Joint Force Development (J-7). He advises the Director on all matters related to joint doctrine, Joint Professional Military Education, Joint Future Schools: Targeting Common Operational picture, and deployment, future concept development, and the development and implementation of long-term strategies that effectively support the Joint Force strategic design.

Maj Gen Bailey graduated from the US Air Force Academy and commissioned in 1990. He served in the Active Duty Air Force for 12 years as a B-52H Navigator and B-1B Weapon Systems Officer, where he flew combat missions in Operation DESERT FOX and Operation ALLIED FORCE. Maj General Bailey joined the Kansas Air National Guard in 2002 and has commanded at the squadron and group level. He has also deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM and Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. He has served at the Major Command (MAJCOM), Numbered Air Force (NAF) and, Combant Command level. Prior to his current position, Maj General Bailey served as the Chief of Staff for the Security Assistance Group-Ukraine (SAG-U), headquartered in Wiesbaden, Germany.
