BRIGADIER GENERAL JAMES P. ROWLETT

Brig. Gen. James Paul Rowlett was the Chief of Staff, Arkansas Air National Guard. He served as the principle assistant to the Arkansas ANG Commander. His primary responsibility was strategic development and oversite of the Headquarters Arkansas Air National Guard Staff supporting 12 primarily assigned C-130s and a Cyber Operations Squadron, as well as MQ-9 Operations, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Space Targeting missions with an annual budget of over $96M and approximately 2000 personnel. General Rowlett also served as the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, 25th Air Force, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, representing over 4200 Air National Guard Airmen executing worldwide ISR to protect and defend the United States and its global interests.
General Rowlett is a 1993 graduate of the USAF Academy. Upon commissioning, he entered Intelligence Training at Goodfellow Air Force Base, TX. While on active duty, he served as an Intelligence Officer at Moody AFB, GA and Hurlburt Field, FL. In April of 2001, he transferred to the Arkansas ANG and served as Commander of the 123rd Intelligence Squadron (DGS-AR) and the Director of Intelligence (J2) for the Arkansas National Guard. Mobilizations have included assignments in Kuwait, Guantanamo Bay, Colombia and Saudi Arabia, as well as Langley AFB, Lackland AFB and home station. In his civilian career, he is an Intelligence Specialist with the United States Department of Justice and, as an additional duty, serves as an Admissions Liaison Officer for the USAF Academy.
