Brigadier General Robert D. Reyner
Brig. Gen. Robert D. Reyner serves as Assistant Adjutant General - Air, New Mexico Air National Guard. As the senior military advisor to the Adjutant General, he is responsible for planning, organizing, training, exercising, deploying, and leading NMANG forces when activated in response to any domestic disaster or combat contingency.
General Reyner graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1992 and subsequently earned his commission in 1994 where he went on to be an F-16C/D pilot, mission commander, instructor pilot and evaluator. Throughout his career, General Reyner has held numerous command assignments and joint staff positions. When the 150th Fighter Wing entered a Total Force Integration with the 58th Special Operations Wing, General Reyner was instrumental in leading the 188th Fighter Squadron through its transformation into the 188th Rescue Squadron. Notably, he was one of the first unit pilots to attend C-130H and HC-130P/N conversion training.
As a Command pilot and proven aviator, General Reyner has flown over 3,000 flying hours and has served in Operation SOUTHERN WATCH, Operation NORTHERN WATCH, Operation NOBLE EAGLE and Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. He also directed combat personnel Rescue/Special Operations Forces mission ready aircrews, performing maintenance and sortie generation on HC/MC-130J, CV-22 and HH-60 aircraft.
Prior to his current assignment, General Reyner was the Commander of the 150th Special Operations Wing, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico.
