BRIGADIER GENERAL DANIEL E. GABRIELLI

 
Official Photo Brig. Gen. Gabrielli is the Assistant Adjutant General of the Minnesota Air National Guard. In this role, he is chief advisor to the Adjutant General on all matters pertaining to Army National Guard operations, training and readiness. He is responsible for command supervision, oversight, and leadership of the 133rd Airlift Wing and the 148th Fighter Wing, to include all items pertaining to manning, readiness, training, and equipping of units in the Minnesota Air National Guard.

General Gabrielli graduated from Mankato State University in 1986. He was commissioned through USAF Officer Training School, and attended Undergraduate Pilot Training in 1989. While on active duty, he served in training and operational flying roles as a first assignment T-37 instructor pilot, and as a C-5 aircraft commander. General Gabrielli joined the
Minnesota Air National Guard in 1998, and deployed multiple times as a C-130 pilot and aircraft commander, in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, SHINING HOPE, JOINT FORGE, JOINT ENTERPRISE, and CORONET OAK. In 2012, he served as the deputy commander for the 386th Expeditionary Operations Group at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

Prior to his current assignment, General Gabrielli was the Commander of the 133rd Airlift Wing, Minnesota Air National Guard, where he led more than 1,200 Airmen assigned to the wing. In this role, he oversaw the organizing, equipping, and training of personnel for worldwide deployments, to provide necessary capability to combatant commanders and the State of Minnesota. Prior to that, he served as the Deputy Director for Air, Space and Cyber Operations for the Air National Guard, where he assisted in advising the Director, Air National Guard, on operational matters, and assisted as the Air National Guard liaison with congressional staff, DOD agencies, major command offices, and operational field units, concerning management and policy matters.
