BRIGADIER GENERAL RONALD S. LAMBE

Brig. Gen. R. Scott Lambe served as the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, 9th Air Force, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. Ninth Air Force organizes, trains and equips its headquarters to be a deployable, operational-level Joint Task Force, and its subordinate commands to prepare for and execute expeditionary taskings. Additionally, Ninth Air Force commands eight wings and three direct reporting units in the Southeastern U.S., ensuring the operational readiness of more than 400 aircraft and 29,000 active duty and civilian members
General Lambe is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill commissioned through the Academy of Military Science as a Distinguished Graduate. He is a command pilot with more than 3,400 hours logged during assignments with Air Education Training Command and the ANG, including 116 combat sorties during Operations Southern Watch, Northern Watch, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. In his civilian capacity, he is a pilot with a major airline. Prior to his current position, the general was the Assistant Adjutant General-Air and Commander for the South Carolina Air National Guard, Joint Force Headquarters, Columbia, S.C.
