Brigadier General Jeffrey C. Bozard

Brig. Gen. Jeffrey C. Bozard was the Commander, 113th Wing, District of Columbia Air National Guard, Joint Base Andrews, Md.  He was responsible for the command, control and oversight of two flying squadrons, an air sovereignty detachment and several supporting units.  The 1,200 member wing consists of the 113th Maintenance Group, 113th Mission Support Group, 113th Medical Group, and 113th Operations Group.  Flying units include the 121st Fighter Squadron which provides F-16C+ aircraft for Air Expeditionary Forces and the Aerospace Control Alert responsible for the air defense of the National Capital Region. The 201st Airlift Squadron provides C-40C aircraft for global Very Important Person Special Airlift Missions (VIPSAM).

General Bozard graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering.  Following pilot training, he served 13 years in various operational units of the active duty Air Force.  General Bozard joined the District of Columbia Air National Guard in 2003 where he has commanded at the squadron, group and wing levels. 

General Bozard is a command pilot with more than 3,900 flying hours which includes multiple combat tours in Southwest Asia supporting Operations Southern Watch and Iraqi Freedom.  Prior to his current position, the general was the Director of Integration, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Pentagon, Washington D.C.
