MAJOR GENERAL TIMOTHY T. LUNDERMAN
Maj. Gen. Timothy T. Lunderman serves as the Air National Guard Assistant to the Commander, 16th Air Force and Air Forces Information Warfare, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. 16th AF integrates multisource intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, cyber warfare, electronic warfare, and information operations capabilities across the conflict continuum to ensure that our Air Force is fast, lethal and fully integrated in both competition and in war. The general provides assistance to the commander on behalf of the Air National Guard with Information Warfare capabilities facilitating combatant commanders with the needs for today’s fight.
General Lunderman earned his commission from Rochester Institute of Technology, Reserve Officer Training Corp in 1989. After serving in the United States Air Force as an F-15C Instructor/Evaluator, General Lunderman joined the New York ANG in 1999 where he has commanded frontline F-16C combat units. He has been integrally engaged with the National Guard Bureau, Department of Defense Joint Staff, United States Cyber Command, Headquarters Air Force, Air Force Space Command, the National Reconnaissance Operations Center and Interagency leadership.
General Lunderman has commanded over 2,200 flight hours in the T-37, A/T-38, F-15C and F-16 aircraft. He has flown combat missions in support of operations Northern Watch, Southern Watch, Noble Eagle, Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
