Brigadier General Paige P. Hunter was the Assistant Adjutant General and Commander of the West Virginia Air National Guard. The West Virginia Air National Guard has over 2,100 members and consists of two flying units, the 130th Airlift Wing in Charleston, West Virginia, and the 167th Airlift Wing in Martinsburg, West Virginia.  As the Assistant Adjutant General and Commander she provides command and control, over all Air National Guard forces assigned to the state and is the principal advisor to the Adjutant General, on all matters related to the Air National Guard.

General Hunter was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1983 upon completion of the Academy of Military Science. Prior to her assignment as the Assistant Adjutant General for Air, she served as the Chief of the Air Staff.  She also served as the Human Resource Officer, and the Director of Military Support to Civil Authorities/J3, Joint Forces Headquarters, West Virginia National Guard.  At the 130th Airlift Wing she served as the Mission Support Group Commander, Mission Support Flight Commander, and the Chief of Intelligence.  She served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm and four years as the Secretary of the National Guard Association of West Virginia.
