Assistant to the Chief of Chaplains, Headquarters United States Air Force
Chaplain, Brigadier General J. Steven Chisolm is the Air National Guard Assistant to the United States Air Force Chief of Chaplains. In this capacity he advises the Chief of Chaplains on all aspects of the Air National Guard Chaplain Corps in order to achieve maximum operational synergy between active duty chaplain components and the Air National Guard Chaplain Corps. Chaplain Chisolm represents the Director of the Air National Guard and the Director, Air National Chaplain Corps, to the United States Air Force Chief of Chaplains, advising on all matters pertaining to the religious and moral welfare of Air National Guard members and their families.
After serving nine years as an enlisted Security Policeman, Chaplain Chisolm was commissioned in 1984 through the Academy of Military Science, I.G. Brown Training and Education Center, McGee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee. Prior to entering the Chaplain Corps, Chaplain Chisolm served as an Administrative Officer, commanded a Services Flight, and was the Wing Chief of Social Actions.
