BRIGADIER GENERAL DOUGLAS R. MOORE
Brigadier General Douglas R. Moore is the director, command, control, communications, and computers, Headquarters California Air National Guard, Sacramento, Calif. He is advisor to the adjutant general and the commander, California Air National Guard on matters relating to command and control systems, computer systems and networks, and communications capabilities. As director, he also serves as an advisor on matters relating to new roles and missions for the California Air National Guard. He is responsible for ensuring telecommunications networks are mission ready and capable of supporting operations during State emergencies. He oversees the operation of the 162nd Combat Communications Group and its subordinate squadrons, as well as the four communications flights supporting flying organizations in the state.
General Moore received his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) in 1969.
After graduation from pilot training, he was transferred to Osan Air Base,
Republic of Korea, as a combat ready F-4D pilot tasked with Victor,
conventional, and air defense alert. During the year in Pacific Air Forces
he completed two temporary duty tours at Da Nang Air Force Base, South
Vietnam. He is a command pilot with more than 4,324 flying hours.
