General Officer Biography

BRIGADIER GENERAL MICHAEL A. CUSHMAN

 

Brigadier General Michael A. Cushman is currently assigned as the Air National Guard (ANG) assistant to the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Washington, D.C. He serves as liaison between the NRO and the ANG in developing and implementing dual-use technology programs in support of the warfighter and civil response agencies.

The general received his commission in March of 1969. In his current assignment he developed Guard requirements for national systems support during Operation ALLIED FORCE. He has also developed USSPACECOM and AFSPACECOM mission integration opportunities for the National Guard.
