CIVILIAN OCCUPATION
Deputy Commander, US Army Tank Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), Detroit Arsenal, Michigan and was responsible for the oversight of TACOM's industrial base to include its arsenals and depots. Dr. Rogers was responsible for implementing a comprehensive and cohesive strategy providing acquisition, logistics, and sustainment support for over 3000 Soldiers and ground weapons systems. Directly influenced worldwide Army/Joint Defense operations and foreign allies through procurement, production, fielding, and disposal of combat services and combat service support items. Lead a multi-disciplined enterprise that operates at 10 major US Army installations, 70 other worldwide locations, and industrial base operations at three depots and two arsenals. Directly accountable for an annual budget of over $4.7B and an additional $2B in Foreign Military Sales. Supervised a workforce of over 18,800 combined military and civilian employees; directly supervised personnel at the SES level.
