MAJOR GENERAL FRANK H. STOKES
Maj. Gen. Frank H. Stokes is the Commander, Air National Guard Readiness Center, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. He guides an Air Directorate staff of over 1200 airmen to formulate plans, policies, programs and execution of the Air National Guard's $11 billion annual appropriation, enabling the mission readiness of 107,700 military and civilian personnel in 90 wings throughout the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands. Maj Gen Stokes is a principal adviser to the Director, Air National Guard for field-level resourcing, planning and execution.
A native of Duluth, Minnesota, Maj Gen Stokes has served in multiple locations as a mission commander and instructor pilot in the F-15 and F-16. He has held command positions at the squadron, group and wing levels and while deployed to Afghanistan. General Stokes is a command pilot with more than 4,400 hours in single seat fighters.
Prior to assuming his current position, the general served as the Director of Plans, Programs and Requirements for the Air National Guard Readiness Center, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland.
