BRIGADIER GENERAL MICHAEL J. CURTIN

 

DEPUTY STARC COMMANDER

Brigadier General Michael J. Curtin entered the Kentucky Army National Guard on 24 February 1970 and attended Basic Training at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Eustis, Virginia. He entered Officer Candidate School in May 1972 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Kentucky Army National Guard in June 1973. He completed the Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, the Field Artillery Officer Advanced Course, MLRS Cadre Course, the NBC Defense Course, the Command and General Staff College and the United States Army War College. BG Curtin received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Kentucky University (Cum Laude), a Master of Business Administration Degree (with Honors) from the University of Louisville, and a Masters of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He is currently the Director of Planning and Budget at the University of Louisville.
