BRIGADIER GENERAL TOD J. CARMONY

 

Deputy Commander, Detachment 2 HHC 38th Infantry Division Ohio Army National Guard

Brigadier General Tod J. Carmony assumed duties as Deputy Commander, Detachment 2 Headquarters Company, Ohio Army National Guard on September 30, 2002. He is responsible for the overall readiness of all Ohio elements comprising the 38th Infantry Division.

The General's military career began with his commissioning as a Second Lieutenant in the branch of Infantry through the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps program at the Ohio State University of Columbus Ohio in 1972. He served on Active Duty from 1972 through 1978 including service in Germany and Infantry Company Command in Korea. In 1979 he joined the Ohio Army National Guard and has served in positions, which included Tank Company Commander, Cavalry Troop Commander, Cavalry Squadron Commander, Armored Brigade Commander and Commander Multinational Brigade East, Kosovo Force, NATO.
