Assistant Adjutant General - Army, North Carolina National Guard
Brigadier General Kenneth A. Beard assumed duties as Assistant Adjutant General - Army, North Carolina National Guard on 24 May 2013. In this capacity, he is a principal advisor to The Adjutant General for sustainment operations.
General Beard was commissioned in 1983 through the Simultaneous Membership Program at North Carolina State University's Reserve Officers' Training Corps completing a degree in Zoology in 1984. His previous military assignments include Firing Battery, Field Artillery Battalion, and Field Artillery Brigade Command, as well as various staff positions at all levels.
