Brigadier General William B. Richy

 
Official Photo Brigadier General William B. Richy was  assigned as the Director, Joint Staff, Idaho Joint Force Headquarters.  He was directly responsible for the Idaho Army and Air National Guard Joint Staff as well as Counterdrug, Weapons of Mass Destruction/Civil Support Team, State Partnership Program and Joint Operations Center.  General Richy serves as the State Deputy Chief for Office of Emergency Management.  In this capacity, he is directly responsible for supporting the Governor and the Adjutant General in the event of State/National crisis response and consequence management.  He is also responsible for the integration and coordination of National Guard capabilities in support of Idaho Emergency Management and Defense to Civil Authorities
 
General Richy received his commission as a second lieutenant in 1984 through the Academy of Military Science, McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base Knoxville, Tennessee.  Prior to his selection for commissioning, General Richy served as a non-commissioned officer for six plus years in the United States Air Force and Air National Guard.
