Brigadier General Kevin J. Keehn

Brig. Gen. Kevin J. Keehn was the Commander New Jersey Air National Guard which includes the 108th Wing at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and the 177th Fighter Wing based at the Atlantic City International Airport, Egg Harbor Township. He exercised command and control over two subordinate flying wings performing fighter and air refueling missions, and served as principal advisor to The Adjutant General and the New Jersey National Guard Joint Staff regarding the execution of Air National Guard and Air Force policies and programs. He also oversaw functions within the Joint Force Headquarters, the joint staff capacity for the development and execution of Defense Support of Civil Authorities activities and missions; he directs on-going reviews of missions, facilities, force structure, mobilization, readiness and strength within the New Jersey Air National Guard.

General Keehn enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1975 and served in the Strategic Air Command at Kincheloe Air Force Base, Michigan and Castle Air Force Base, California as an In-flight Refueling Operator. In 1979 he was honorably discharged and joined the New Jersey Air National Guard, 170th Air Refueling Group, as a part time in-flight refueling operator. General Keehn was commissioned through the Academy of Military Science, McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Knoxville, Tennessee, in April 1984. General Keehn has served as both the 150th and 141st Air Refueling Squadron's Operations Director, the 170th Air Refueling Group and the 108th Air Refueling Wing Chief, Standardization and Evaluation, the 108th Operations Group Commander and the 108th Wing Commander. He has served in many operations; including Operations Desert Storm I and II, Northern Watch, Joint Forge, Allied Force, Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
