BRIGADIER GENERAL PAUL HUTCHINSON

Brigadier General Paul Hutchinson is the Assistant Adjutant General - Air, New Hampshire National Guard. He also serves Commander, New Hampshire Air National Guard. General Hutchinson is responsible for the command, control and operations of plans and programs of over 1300 New Hampshire Air National Guard personnel located at Pease Air National Guard Base, New Hampshire. He is responsible to the Adjutant General for the combat and operational readiness of the New Hampshire Air National Guard and the ability of the 157th Air Refueling Wing to perform its federal and state mission. In addition, he is appointed as a dual-status commander, which authorizes control of active-duty troops as well as National Guard troops during state emergencies.

General Hutchinson was commissioned as a graduate of the University of Massachusetts through the Reserve Officers' Training Corps program. He has commanded at the flight, squadron, group, and wing level. He is Dual Status Command qualified from the United States Northern Command. General Hutchinson served as the Chairman of the KC-135 Weapons System Council and as a Chair of the Air Directors Field Advisory Council; providing insight to the Director of the Air National Guard on relevant issues affecting 89 Air National Guard Wings. General Hutchinson is a command pilot with over 6500 flying hours in various reconnaissance and tanker aircraft. Prior to his current position he was the Chief of Staff, New Hampshire Air National Guard, Joint Force Headquarters.
