Brigadier General Kenneth L. Gammon

Brigadier General Kenneth L. Gammon is Director, Joint Staff, Utah National Guard, Draper, Utah. He is responsible to the Adjutant General to prepare the Utah National Guard to effectively respond to contingency operations in a federal or state emergency. He provides expertise and guidance to the development of long and short-term plans and policies to meet readiness and response requirements. General Gammon also serves as the Designated Dual Status Commander, Joint Force Headquarters- Utah. He has oversight responsibilities for the joint offices serving the Utah Army and Air National Guard to include, J1 Family Programs, J2 Intelligence, Counter Drug, Human Resource Office, and other fulltime joint activities. He advises The Adjutant General and Assistant Adjutants General for Army and Air on all issues and policies relating to Defense Support to Civil Authorities.

General Gammon began his career in the Utah Air National Guard in 1984 as an Air Traffic Controller. He earned his commission in 1988 through the Air National Guard's Academy of Military Science. General Gammon previously served as the Commander, 109th Air Control Squadron; Commander, Mission Support Group,151st Air Refueling Wing; Vice Commander, 151st Air Refueling Wing; and Commander, Roland R. Wright Air National Guard, Utah.

General Gammon serves at the national level as the Enduring Partnerships Priority Chair for the Air National Guard's Strategic Planning System Steering Committee. He also serves on the Joint Diversity Executive Council as the Southwest Region Chair, on the National Guard Joint Advisory Council as the Region VIII Chair, and on the Senior ISR Officer Council Steering Committee.  Prior to his current position, General Gammon was Vice Commander, 151st Air Refueling Wing, Roland R. Wright ANG Base, Utah.
